ReplyHello,
I am starting to explore your website after coming up with the idea to create a game to make more people aware of the effects and magnitude of poverty in the world and the need to take action to diminish it along the lines of the Millenium goals. Is your organisation a not profit organisation? Maybe I will read your site and find out more.
I am a volunteer with Results and have retired recently. I visited Narobi in 2006 to see how Jamii Bora Trust uses microcredit to help out the poor climb out of poverty. We are trying to start an organisation to raise funds to start a similar organisation in Democratic republic of Congo, Diku Dilenga.
I believe that each person as a consumer and as an investor makes choices and decisions every day that can affect the distribution of ressources in the world and contribute to either create or reduce poverty and hunger.
I have created a document of beliefs that we need to change to create a world where sharing ressources would be favored over hoarding them under fears of scarcity or the old rules of the fight in the jungle and the fittest or strongest wins. Also that the corporations should stop pursuing profit without examining the long term consequences of their actions as well as the definition of a healthy company that needs to grow constantly which is impossible to maintain.
I believe that our common human mission is to help one another according to the talents that we were each given.
Best wishes of the season!!!
Louis
