A while back I noted that working memory may, it turns out, be a more important factor than deliberate practice in achieving greatness (or at least as important a factor). More recently I came across this addictive little test of working memory capacity on the GoCognitive Web site. While there is currently no information on how to use the feedback you receive from the test, I found going through it several times to be enlightening nonetheless – if only because it breeds humility! (Apparently a manual for this and other tests on the site are on the way.)
