Stanford School of Engineering has launched Stanford Engineering Everywhere (SEE), a program that initially includes 10 complete online computer science and electrical engineering courses for free under the Creative Commons license.
The classes are on a variety of sites (YouTube, iTunes, Vyew) and in a variety of formats (iPod, Zune, Web). There is also a Facebook group for SEE with which Stanford intends to integrate the classes (though it is not quite clear to me at this point what “integration” will mean).
Below is the first lecture from the first course in Stanford’s introduction to computer science, Programming Methodology (or click through if you don’t see it).
